Ta-da Chair and Low Cost Assistive Technology
The Ta-da Chair—a walking stick that transforms into a seat—falls under the Low Cost Assistive Technology category within the NDIS. Ta-da Chair, a walking sticks/canes are a common example of low-cost AT that falls under the NDIS umbrella, helping individuals with mobility needs access funding for essential mobility aids. The items priced at $1,500 or less, which are typically considered everyday products that do not require a formal assessment.
NDIS Participants
There are three main ways for NDIS participants to manage their funding: self-managed, plan-managed, and NDIA-managed. If you are receiving support through the NDIS, you may be eligible to purchase the Ta-da Chair using your funding. For more information, you or your plan manager are welcome to contact us.
If you are a self-managed NDIS participant, complete and pay for your order online. You can then use your order receipt to claim reimbursement from the NDIS.
If you are a plan-managed participant, please ask your Plan Manager/Coordinator to
complete the "Contact US" form below and we will email an invoice to your support coordinator for processing and payment.
AGENCY ManagedIf you are an NDIA-managed NDIS participant, you can complete the "Contact US" form, and we will issue an invoice for the Ta-da Chair. The NDIA will then assess whether your plan considers the item reasonable and necessary. Once approved, we will submit the claim electronically to the NDIA for payment.
